Porter Davis wins award at the 2017 HIA Northern Victoria Regional Housing Awards

The winning home, the Kew, is part of the Porter Davis Advantage range. It’s an everyday home, both practical and accomplished with a dash of urban chic. The home is single-storey, allowing convenience and easy accessibility to everything needed on the one floor, and ideal for couples and families, both growing and established.

The Kew’s floorplan features a parents’ retreat at one end with a master bedroom, ensuite and home theatre, and on the other, a children’s wing, including the central bathroom and separate WC. An outdoors oriented kitchen, open plan living area and rumpus is placed in between.

The Urban façade of the home features clean and angular lines in shades of grey, brown and black, creating a feel of urban elegance. It features a Prague interior scheme, with mid-tone shades of grey and taupe and black accents, creating a minimalist yet European feel. The warmth and organic texture of timber and stone feature in almost every room, with vibrant accents of colour and pattern to complement the Euro vintage inspired interior.

The Housing Industry Association (HIA) is Australia’s largest residential building organisation. The network consists of more than 40,000 members, including builders, trade contractors, design professionals and suppliers, making them a leading voice in Australia’s home building industry.

Porter Davis will now compete against other regional and metropolitan entries for the Victorian Housing and Kitchen & Bathroom Awards, within the ‘Display Home $300,001 - $400,00’ category for The Kew, Ascot Display Home. The Awards are to be held on Friday November 10th at Crown Towers in Melbourne.
