Top 10 World of Styles for 2017
We can't move on to 2018 without bringing you the top 10 interior styles of 2017. After a year of working tirelessly to help Australian's bring their dream home to life, the stats are in... It was close, but Contemporary has just edged it to win in 2017!
It seems Australians were inspired by both the Contemporary and Classic styles this year, with Contemporary taking 50% of the top 10, and Classic taking up 40%.
Yet again, our award winning Hamptons style takes out the top spot, unrivalled in its classic sophistication and coastal influences makes it one of the most desired looks in the world. Classic styles Champagne France and Paris, in third and seventh place respectively, showcase the distinctive French refined and ornate style. Manhattan rounds out the Classic theme in tenth place for 2017, with its elegant and opulent features.
Taking up half of the top 10 spots, the Contemporary styles showcase a modern and relaxed look. Staying a little closer to home for inspiration, our Bondi style came in second place, followed by Scandinavia, San Francisco, Cape Cod and Cottesloe. These styles combine a balance between clean lines, coastal chic and polished modern finishes. The only Designer style to crack the top 10 was Fifth Avenue. Think crisp whites, marble and crushed velvet. This style is all about sophisticated luxury.
It’s clear Australians in 2017 are looking for a balance between the modern and architectural Contemporary style and the traditional timeless Classic look
With such a close split between Classic and Contemporary styles, our prediction is that both styles will continue to reign in popularity through 2018.
